BASEBALL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
GEAR FOR GOOD
Unfortunately, just wanting to play baseball is not enough – one of the most crucial elements is the equipment needed to play the game. Our players understand that lack of access to equipment means that millions of kids in Black communities won’t be introduced to the game of baseball or able to properly play, leading to a decline in overall participation and fanship across underserved areas.
This initiative will open up the field of opportunities and, quite literally, change the game. Our Gear for Good initiative is a national player-led equipment drive and implementation program where players will work with their respective corporate partners, teams, teammates, and fans to collect gently used baseball equipment and have it cleaned, packaged, and delivered to Black communities across the United States.
ALLIANCE ACCESS PROGRAM
The Alliance Access Program is our scholarship, internship, and paid student employment initiative. The goal of the Access programs is to provide resources, education, and advancement opportunities for the Black community. Our goal is to create a pipeline of future talent and professional development, to aid in realizing their dreams of possible full-time employment after graduation in our sport.
