BASEBALL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Our player-led mentorship program builds and nurtures mentoring relationships to foster the biggest possible futures for Black baseball players at every level, from introduction to the game as youths, through high school and college, and for some, even all the way to the MLB Draft and a big-league debut.

This Players Alliance program is unlike any mentorship program in professional sports, as it’s fully operated by our professional athlete committee members, dedicated to using their personal time to inspire the next generation of Black players in our game.

The goal of this program is to ignite the love of baseball in the Black community from a young age and stay connected and supportive throughout their journey. Some will make it to the big show, some will be our future front-office leaders and others will be our biggest fans, but all of them will make up the future of the Black population in baseball. This program will eventually work hand in hand with the Alliance Access Program, our scholarship and paid internship program, launch in 2021.
