Unfortunately, just wanting to play baseball is not enough – one of the most crucial elements is the equipment needed to play the game. Our players understand that lack of access to equipment means that millions of kids in Black communities won’t be introduced to the game of baseball or able to properly play, leading to a decline in overall participation and fanship across underserved areas.

The Players Alliance launched our Gear For Good Caravan during 2021 All-Star Denver with a branded fleet of cargo vehicles filled with baseball equipment. Our Alliance members and allies provided supplies to community groups and teams in Denver, before departing on a cross-country trek to power up hundreds of Black communities and baseball teams across the country with the tools necessary to play our game.
